This is exciting.

For years, I have been coveting a pair of Frye harness boots. The problem is in the price tag - they are about $200. I never bit the bullet and got them...and I'm glad I didn't because look at these babies! They look just like the Frye boots, don't they? (Go ahead, click on that link and check out the real thing)

Well they aren't.

They are from Target.

That's right. Good ole Mossimo came to my rescue and made a pair of boots that look identical to the Fryes for a fraction of the price. AND GET THIS! They are real leather!! So they do not look like the cheap fake leather boots from Target. I love them. Now I need to learn how to wear them and not look like I am trying to be a cowboy...

This was another Maxwell Street Day purchase by Jon.

They are loafers.
They are fuzzy on the inside.
And in case you haven't noticed, they are plaid.

Personally, I think it adds to their awkward charm.

Meghan got me these slippers for Christmas and they are awe-some. They are called Muk Luks, they are lined with fleece, have a hard-ish sole and cinch cord around the ankle so as not to become too slouchy. AND they are made in Milwaukee (woop woop). looove them!

These shoes are too nice, too pretty and too expensive to throw in the closet with all the other cheap shoes that I get on the clearance rack at DSW. So instead, they go on display on the bookshelf in our bedroom. :)

On this day, I noticed that my favorite work boots have a crack in the sole. (tear) Here is why they are awesome:

-They are tall - tall boots don't fit over my calf most of the time, but these fit!
-The tall-ness also lends itself well to keeping me warm in the cold months
-They have a wedge heel which makes them WAY more comfortable than boots with a regular heel
-I got them about 2 years ago for $16 (marked down from over $100)

I found a product called Shoe Goo that might be able to fix this though. I'm crossing my fingers.

*heels*

I saw a photo similar to this one on someone's blog not too long ago and thought it was sweet, so I tried recreating it. I'm not in love with my editing, but overall, I think it is cute.

365

I had the idea to take one photo each day a few years ago, but for whatever reason, I didn't follow through with it. The idea came back to me though while reading life of a square(d) the other day...and I decided I'm doing it. My only fear is I go out of town and I forget my camera and the project is ruined.

I'm forgetful, this isn't far fetched.

Although, the only places I go out of town usually are Milwaukee and Green Bay...and my mom and dad and Gina both own cameras, so even then the project won't be ruined.

My goal is to post on every 5th day...and hopefully I get get more creative and there won't be an excess of self portraits). Here it goes:

1/1 long hair! (I kind of miss you)

1/2. new kicks

1/3. new 'do

1/4. sumptutous olive

1/5. out my work window

Do you want to know what else I am going to do? This. I love it.

so beautious

I really want to wear a fun pair of shoes with my wedding dress...no white pumps for this lady. I found these today on a website that said they were available on Piperlime. So I figured if they were on that website, they must be affordable and I had to have them....

...and then I saw the price. I think I actually said "oh good lord." Since when does Piperlime sell shoes this expensive?! I thought this was a Gap company.
Needless to say, the search will continue.
