We headed to the State Fair last Saturday with Gina and Todd. I had a lot of inner dialogue about how I was going to lug my camera around. After a lot of back and forth, we finally got to the fair, parked the car, started walking to the gate aaaand I realized I didn't put the battery in my camera. eeeeeerrrrrghh! I was in a pretty bad mood for at least 10 mins afterwards.

There are worse things in life obviously though, so I got myself some Saz's and all was ok in the world :)

We checked out the animals, the pig races and the other standard fair stuff. So fun. I am already kind of mourning the coming end of summer and this kind of stuff. I love it so much.

Sunday morning, we headed down to the University Bay path for a little run/walk. The path was very busy with bikers, walkers and runners. Not our favorite thing dodging people, strollers and bikes while on a run, but it was still fun. It was a gorgeous day, so I don't blame everyone for having the same idea as us.

And no, I did not run with my camera.

There is a story behind this bunny.

This little guy lounges in our little front yard area like he owns the place. Legs outstretched in both directions and not phased if you walk a foot away from it. It does not move. I haven't been able to compose a shot in time before it runs away to show this guy in full form, but I am determined I will.

I stayed overnight in Milwaukee after the Britney concert and got this shot at my parents' house. Their neighbor has a lot of feeders with pretty birds flying around. Looks like this bird even took time out of its busy eating schedule to smile for the camera!

This is Beaner again. (You met yesterday) We are dog sitting for a couple days.

This was probably the 794th time we played fetch. She could literally play fetch all day long. This is not an exaggeration. I know I tend to be a little dramatic from time to time (like before when I said we played fetch 794 times), but this time I do not kid.

When my friend came to drop her off and gave me some pointers about her, she mentioned that she doesn't let her play after 9pm. I kind of chuckled at the time, but now I understand why! It is non stop with that thing.

This is Missy...or Slippers...or Slips. But for real, her name is Slippers. She is my in-laws' cat. She happens to be one of 3 pets they have and she is probably my favorite. She is a lot like the cat I had growing up, which is why I have a soft spot for her.

One day this year, I'll introduce Pugsly...which is you guessed it, a pug.
