I am making my big return to the field after 10 years, so I dug my cleats out of storage. This team I am playing on is coed and has very mixed skill levels. It shall be interesting. No matter what though, I am pumped. Here's hoping my knees stay intact :-/

On Friday, we took a white knuckled drive to Milwaukee for the Brewer game. You see, after work, we had to stop home, pack the car and drive through Madison and Milwaukee traffic to get to Miller Park by 7:05. It didn't happen. We got there in the second inning.

The game was fun once we got there though! The nachos helped. Our seats weren't too shabby either...about 8 rows up from 1st base.

It was kind of a bummer knowing the the season was ending, that this was the last game I will go to this year, and that means that summer is over. (siiiiiighhhhh) Until next spring, Brewers! Love ya!

Yurts Day 2 - we had a bags tournament, a washers tournament and a volleyball game. I didn't do the volleyball game though. Instead I stuck to the sidelines, sunbathed and took some action shots.

We took in a Cubs game at the friendly confines on Friday afternoon. Say what you will about the Cubs, but Wrigley is pretty sweet. I can't say the same about the game we saw though. The Cubs lost - they had a lot of errors and the fans turned on them quick.

Also, you would think we are Cardinals fans or something though because they were the opposing team at both the Brewer and Cubs game. We are not.

Monday night softball.

This is the fourth game I have been to this year...and my fifth game in the last 5 years.

I'm making up for lost time.

Since it was 80 degrees yesterday, we went to the driving range and batting cages with Barney.

I mean if this isn't a sign of summer, I don't know what is! First we dug the grill out of storage and now the golf clubs!? We all took part in the golf portion of the evening, but only Jon and Swarley...I mean Barney, took part in the batting.

Jon is coming out of retirement and playing on a softball team this summer. Chances are you will be able to see more shots just like this one this summer. Or maybe not just like this one. I'm not sure I could get this angle at a real diamond. If I did, I might get hit by a line drive or something...which is never a good thing.
