Last week Wednesday, I met up with a few girlfriends at the Sundance 608 theater for a viewing of The September Issue. This is a documentary about Vogue's September issue, which I guess is always their biggest issue of the year. Anyway, it was filmed in 2007, which I am sure was an attempt to do some damage control on The Devil Wears Prada. Because as much as yes, Anna Wintour came across as decisive, a tad demanding and a little cold - she was also shown smiling, being supportive of her staff and even warm moments at home with her family. The breakout star of the movie though was the creative director, Grace Coddington. Now SHE is a character.

Jon, Barney and I went to see I Love You, Man last night. It was so funny! We all enjoyed it a lot. We took our seats in the very last row, which I think now rivals the front row (right behind the bar where you can put your feet up) as the best seat in the house. There was a lot of room back there!

Paul Rudd's character in this movie is so sweet and awkward that it is painful. He also likes to abbreviate and make up words, which reminded me of my husband. I would not put it past Jon to bust out with 'totes m'goats' as an abbreviation for 'totally'. I can't blame him completely though. Abbreviating was a personality trait had no choice but take on when he got together with me...

*the wrestler*

Going into the movie, I was hoping I could enjoy the movie without focusing on how abnormal Mickey Rourke's face is. No such luck though. I was very much obsessed with it the entire movie. Overall, it was good. Not great. It did make me intrigued by wrestlers and the type of people they are. Such an odd combination of interests one must have to become a wrestler, right?
